— For Law Enforcement
Five-second firearm ID, built for the badge.
Property-and-evidence officers, detectives, supervisors, corrections staff, academy instructors. GoBallistic identifies any firearm from a single photo in under five seconds — make, model, caliber, action type, year introduced, and a short historical profile. No account, no signup, no chain-of-custody risk.
Agency pricing
We offer agency-tier discounts based on department size, with package deals available for departments running both GoBallistic (firearms) and Forged (knives and edged weapons). Single point of contact, written quote within a week.

- Property & Evidence intake. Recovered firearm comes in. The P&E supervisor needs an accurate make, model, and caliber for the chain-of-custody record before it goes into the case management system. GoBallistic produces a structured ID card from a single photo, in under five seconds, that the supervisor can read directly into the evidence log.
- Charge-decision support. Statute language for weapons offenses often turns on classification — AR-15 vs CMMG vs AK-pattern, semi-auto rifle vs short-barrel rifle, revolver vs DAO semi-auto. The right charge depends on knowing what you're looking at, in the field, fast. GoBallistic gives the officer a structured ID with the action type and configuration before the booking decision goes upstream.
- Corrections / jail intake. Contraband recovered during intake or cell searches needs to be classified for the property record and any added charges. GoBallistic identifies ammunition, components, magazines, and full firearms with the same five-second pipeline.
- Training and academy curriculum. Detective development, academy weapons familiarization, and ongoing in-service training all benefit from a phone-accessible reference that covers the full catalog (modern service weapons, historical pieces, foreign-made imports, civilian carbines, etc.).
- Field reference for the unfamiliar. Officers encounter weapons they don't recognize all the time — a collector seizure, an inherited piece in an estate execution, a foreign-made import surfaced during a traffic stop. The five-second ID closes the gap between "I don't know what this is" and "I have a make, model, and caliber to put in the report."
Privacy posture (the part your IT bureau will ask about)
Department procurement evaluations live and die on data-handling questions. The short version:
- Photos are not retained. Submitted images are processed in real time by Anthropic's Claude API under a commercial agreement that explicitly excludes training on or retention of submitted data. The image is discarded the moment the inference returns. StrataLogic does not retain photos on its servers either.
- No PII collected. The app doesn't ask for a badge number, agency identifier, case number, or officer name. The only identifier the backend sees is an anonymous device UUID generated client-side for free-tier rate limiting, plus an optional email address if the officer wants to restore Pro across devices.
- No mandatory location. The "find nearby dealer" feature uses coarse location (~1 km accuracy) and is opt-in. Agencies that don't need it can leave it disabled; the identification pipeline works fine without it.
- No discoverable server logs of identifications. Identification results are not stored on StrataLogic's servers and don't carry a case ID or any officer identifier. The result lives on the officer's device. Discoverability questions about agency-side use of the app land cleanly: the agency would need to subpoena the officer's device, not StrataLogic.
- US-based vendor. StrataLogic LLC is a private US company (Indiana). Apple App Tracking Transparency compliant, Google Data Safety form completed, no third-party data sales, no foreign-government data sharing.
How agency pricing works
We don't give the app away free to agencies — we don't give it away free to anyone — but we do offer agency-tier discounts and package deals. The path:
- Send an email to support@stratalogic.io with your department name, approximate sworn-personnel count, primary use case, and procurement timeline.
- Discovery call within 48 hours. 30-minute call to understand the use case, evaluation criteria, and any integration questions (most agencies don't need any; the app is a phone install).
- Written quote within a week. Per-seat annual pricing with volume break points at 10 / 50 / 200 / 1000+ officers. Quote includes the package-deal option if relevant (see below).
- Pilot before procurement. The deciding officer or supervisor can install Pro on a personal device for $7.99 monthly (cancellable anytime, no long-term commitment) to evaluate the actual product before bringing it to the procurement conversation. This is not a department give-away — it's the supervisor evaluating with their own purchase, on the lowest-commitment plan we sell, with no agency procurement involvement.
GoBallistic + Forged package deal
Recovered weapons are not always firearms. Knives and edged weapons drive their own statute language, their own intake workflow, and their own classification headaches. Forged is GoBallistic's sister product for knife and edged-weapon identification — same five-second pipeline, same privacy posture, same vendor. Departments running both verticals can purchase as a package at a meaningful discount over the per-product agency rate.
Request the package in your inquiry email and the quote will cover both products. See forgedai.app/leo for the Forged-side equivalent of this page.
