Data Deletion Request
Effective Date: April 27, 2026
GoBallistic is an AI-powered firearm identification app published by StrataLogic. This page explains how to request deletion of any data we hold about you, what gets deleted, what is retained, and how long retained data is kept.
How to Request Deletion of Your Data
Server-Side Data (web Pro purchases)
If you purchased Pro on our website at goballistic.app/pro, follow these steps:
- Email us at support@stratalogic.io from the email address you used at checkout.
- Subject line:
GoBallistic data deletion request - Include the email address you used at checkout, and indicate what you want deleted: "all my data", or specifically "entitlement record only", or "Stripe customer record only".
- Confirmation: We will reply within 30 days confirming the deletion. Most requests are processed within 7 days.
Important: deleting your active Pro entitlement record ends Pro access on all your devices immediately. If you have an active recurring subscription, deletion does not automatically cancel future billing — please cancel your subscription separately through Stripe (a cancellation link is included in your purchase receipt email) before requesting deletion, or notify us in your deletion request and we will cancel on your behalf.
Local App Data (free and Pro users)
Most of your data is stored only on your device. You can delete it instantly without contacting us:
- Open the GoBallistic app on your device.
- Go to Settings → Data Management.
- Tap Clear History, Clear Collection, or Clear Cache to remove the corresponding local data.
- To remove all local data at once, uninstall the app from your device.
What Gets Deleted
When you submit a deletion request from your registered email, we delete the following:
- Your email address and entitlement record from our Cloudflare Workers KV namespace.
- Your Stripe customer record, including stored payment methods and billing history visible on your account.
- Any pending restore verification codes tied to your email (these auto-expire in 10 minutes anyway).
- Authentication tokens previously issued to your devices (they will fail validation on next refresh, forcing re-verification or removal of Pro state).
What Is Retained, and for How Long
The following data is either not retained at all, retained briefly for operational reasons, or retained because legal or accounting obligations require it:
- Submitted firearm photos: Never retained on our servers. Processed in real-time by our AI vision provider and immediately discarded.
- Location data: Never retained. Used only for the current "nearby dealer" search and forwarded to Google Places API without server-side storage.
- Anonymous device identifiers (used for free-tier rate limiting): Held in volatile server memory only for the duration of the active 24-hour rate-limit window. Not linked to your identity.
- Stripe transaction records (separate from the customer record): Stripe may retain transaction history for compliance with financial regulations even after we delete your customer record on our side. This is governed by Stripe's data retention policies, which we cannot override. Typical retention is 7 years for transaction records.
- Email delivery logs at Resend (our transactional email provider): Resend retains email delivery metadata for ~30 days for delivery diagnostics. Subjects and recipients only — message bodies are not retained beyond the delivery window.
- Cloudflare access logs: Standard infrastructure-level access logs (IP, request path, status code) are retained by Cloudflare for ~30 days. These logs do not contain your email or any account-identifying information beyond your IP address.
If You Are a Free User
If you have only used the free tier and never made a Pro purchase, we have no server-side personal data on you. Your only data is local on your device — clear it via Settings → Data Management or by uninstalling the app. There is nothing for us to delete on the server side.
