Data Deletion Request
Effective Date: October 1, 2026
GoBallistic is an AI-powered firearm identification app published by StrataLogic LLC. This page explains how to request deletion of any data we hold about you, what gets deleted, what is retained, and how long retained data is kept. GoBallistic has no user accounts.
How to Request Deletion of Your Data
Server-Side Data (web Pro purchases)
If you purchased Pro on our website at goballistic.app/pro, follow these steps:
- Email us at support@stratalogic.io from the email address you used at checkout.
- Subject line:
GoBallistic data deletion request - Include the email address you used at checkout, and indicate what you want deleted: "all my data", or specifically "entitlement record only", or "Stripe customer record only".
- Confirmation: We will reply within 30 days confirming the deletion. Most requests are processed within 7 days.
Important: deleting your Pro entitlement record ends Pro on all your devices the next time the app checks your Pro status, and in any case within 30 days, when the app's Pro pass expires. Deletion does not by itself cancel a recurring subscription: tell us in your deletion request (or email us separately) and we will cancel it for you, so you are not billed again.
Local App Data (free and Pro users)
Most of your data is stored only on your device. You can delete it instantly without contacting us:
- Open the GoBallistic app on your device.
- Go to Settings → Data Management.
- Tap Clear History, Clear Collection, or Clear Cache to remove the corresponding local data.
- To remove all local data at once, uninstall the app from your device. On Android this also removes any Pro pass; the device identifier is not stored anywhere else on the phone, but the app computes the same one again if you reinstall it. On iPhone the identifier and any Pro pass are kept in the iOS Keychain, which iOS may keep after the app is deleted.
What Gets Deleted
When you submit a deletion request from your registered email, we delete the following:
- Your email address and entitlement record (plan, expiry, Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and the device identifiers it was restored on) from our Cloudflare Workers KV storage.
- Your Stripe customer record, including stored payment methods and billing history visible on your account.
- Any pending restore verification codes tied to your email (these expire after 10 minutes anyway).
Pro passes already issued to your devices can no longer be renewed once the entitlement record is gone.
What Is Retained, and for How Long
The following data is either not retained at all, retained for operational reasons, or retained because legal or accounting obligations require it:
- Submitted firearm photos: Never stored on our servers. They are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic's Claude) to produce your result; Anthropic processes them on our behalf and does not use them to train its models.
- Location data (iPhone only, if you use the nearby dealer search in Where to Buy): Never stored or logged by us. Your approximate location is used only for the current search and passed to Google Places to find dealers near you. The Android app does not use your location.
- Device identifiers (random on iPhone; on Android, a one-way hash of Android's app-scoped ID; used for daily limits and rewarded-ad bonuses): Stored with that day's counts, which expire at the end of the day (UTC). If you have Pro, the identifier is also kept with your purchase record. Not linked to your name, email address, or advertising ID.
- In-app purchase records (Pro bought through Google Play or the App Store): When the app verifies a purchase with the store, we keep the plan, product, expiry date, and the identifiers of up to three devices using it, filed under a one-way hash of the Google Play purchase token or under the App Store transaction ID. These records hold no name, email address, order number, or payment details, so we cannot look one up from your email address or order number. They let Pro keep working when you reinstall the app or switch devices.
- Firearm-name caches: Reference details are cached by firearm name for up to 60 days. They contain nothing about you.
- Stripe transaction records (separate from the customer record): Stripe may retain transaction history for compliance with financial regulations even after we delete your customer record on our side. This is governed by Stripe's data retention policies, which we cannot override.
- Email delivery records at Resend (our transactional email provider, used for restore codes): Resend keeps delivery records, such as the recipient address, subject, and delivery status, for a limited period under its own retention policy.
- App analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase): usage events tied to a random app-instance ID, not to your name or email address, so we cannot find them from an email address. They are kept for 14 months. Uninstalling the app gives a new install a new app-instance ID.
- Server logs: We do not keep request logs. Our own diagnostic log lines about app requests (feature used, outcome, app version and platform, timings) contain no photos, location, email address, or device identifier, and Cloudflare keeps them for up to 7 days.
If You Are a Free User
If you have only used the free tier and never made a Pro purchase, we keep no lasting server-side data about you: the daily counts tied to your device's identifier expire at the end of the day (UTC). Your other data is local on your device; clear it via Settings → Data Management or by uninstalling the app. There is nothing for us to delete on the server side.
